Organix. Is it really Organic?

The packaging and fragrance alone were enough to draw me into the shampoo's and conditioners from Organix, but after a couple times use and a statistic I read about how much of what we put on our body is absorbed into our bodies I wanted to really know what's in the products.  So here's my question- Is Organix truly organic? Yes, i've read the ingredients.  This is why i'm confused- there are SO MANY ingredients that 1. I can't even pronounce and 2. just sound like a chemical to me. Whats the deal? Anyone?
ps. love the tag- "beauty, pure and simple."

  1. no way. some organic ingredients does not an organic product make. it's just marketing. granted, there aren't any parabens or sulfates, so if that's your clean-product criteria, you're in good shape, but otherwise, there are many more earth friendly, skin friendly hair care lines out there.

  2. Allison, thanks for the insight! I'm definitely interested in trying some others out - although like you said, not having the parabens or sulfates is a good thing. I'll keep looking around. Any brand suggestions?

  3. hmmm. Maybe Aubrey organics, Pure Life soap co., and heck, Burt's Bees is even cleaner than most. But if you don't mind some light lathering agents (most likely coconut derived) Giovanni is a nice line. and i'm not sure they make hair care, but Pangea Organics is and AWESOME and super earth conscious line. the canadian pine white sage bar soap...one of my all time fall favorites. :)

  4. First off I want to say wonderful blog! I had a quick question in which I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your mind prior
to writing. I have had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there.

I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to
15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin.
Any ideas or tips? Appreciate it!
